ARTICLE 370 VERDICT
Bench comprising of Chief Justice of India Justice D.Y.Chandrachud was to announce its verdict over a writ petition filed before it challenging Indian government decisions of ABROGATION of article 370 of construction.
Then bench observed that it was well with in the power of President to revoke the same as the said Article of constitution was always a temporary provision and it was always power of President to remove same . They also said that there was never any provision and any obligation to consult any state before taking of such decisions.
Bench also said that they don’t want to interfere in any such matter which has been done by the President of India well with his powers unless it is some matter of extreme importance or any useful matter.
Saying this the UPHELD the decision of central government to abrogate the provision of Article 370 of Constitution.
