Before ceremony to be held in the Ram temple pm Shri Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the new international airport which has been set up at Ayodhya on 30 December 2023. The PM has announce the name of the new airport which is going to be on the name of maharishi Valmiki who play the significant role in the Prabhu Ram’s life.

The name change is an homage to the great poet Maharishi Valmiki, who wrote the epic Ramayana. This modest change recognises Valmiki’s pivotal role in preserving Ayodhya’s spiritual and cultural legacy.

Airport Maharishi Valmiki International Ayodhya Dham: Principal AspectsPreviously known as Maryada Purshottam Shri Ram Ayodhya International Airport, the airport has a 6,500 square metre contemporary terminal building that can accommodate 600 people during peak hours.

The airport, which can accommodate 10 lakh passengers annually, has the potential to greatly improve Ayodhya’s accessibility and connection.The airport will officially become operational on the day of the inauguration with the first flights being operated by IndiGo and Air India Express.

Beginning in January 2024, travellers can anticipate easy connections from important cities including Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.
